12th of February
I had decided to join bo and his german friend Friederike on a trip to the forests, but when I called bo he asked if I had a driver's license, and I knew something were up, but we got out and looked for a bus, but we couldn't find any and ended up deciding to take the ferry to sausalito, but before we did we looked around at the farmers marked Friederike got some cookies and bo and I got some lemonade.
Then we sat waiting for the ferry and enjoying the view of the ocean for 15 minutes, got on the ferry and went to sausalito, on the railing was a stupid brown seagull we took a couple of pictures and I expressed my despise for birds, fortunately the seagull flew away when the ferry started moving, bo and Friederike ate m&m's with peanut butter, and since I really did not want to taste it, I bought a bag (those small ones) of BBQ chips.
When we got to sausalito it took about two seconds to figure out this was a very touristy place, one shop after the other carried souvenirs, and I realised I probably should try and figure out who was worthy of receiving such an honourable gift before buying anything, so I'll do that some other day, we walked up hill I didn't know where we were heading, neither did any of us I reckon, until we realised we were going in the direction of golden gate bridge, then I think all of us knew just where we were going.
After a long walk we began seeing the red steel peering over the hilltops, after a longer walk we could see the bridge itself, and after an even longer walk we came to a section of road that split up into three directions, so we sat around, or I did, trying to decide which way to go, but fortunatly Friederike's german intuition guided us in the right direction and after a long, long walk we came to the bridge itself, we first went to the parking lot to sit down and take some pictures, but then after a little rest and a boat of the sweetest orange I've tasted in my life, we began walking across the bridge, I didn't think it was possible, but there was a lot of people walking across.
After a long, windy and adventurous walk across the bridge, involving such horrible terrors as a guy on a bike we heroically stepped to the side to avoid and a car-crash on the bridge that was being cleaned up by the police while we walked by we luckily made to the other side with all limbs intact, we went in to a little shop and bought something to drink, and it was so expensive! A bottle of sprite costed almost the same as it would in denmark! I was horrified by the expensive beverage, but being a man of courage I bought it any way to quench my thirst.
After a short rest on a bench we walked on, we came to a place called crissy field and we soon realized our trouble was not over, not one or twice, but twenty-one thousand three hundred and twenty-five times did Friederike get a pebble in her shoe, the nasty pebbles numbered in the hundreds of millions, but bo and I fought our way through, and though Friederike had to empty her shoe a couple of times, we survived this endeavour of bravery, and soon we would be walking on pebbleless ground, what we soon would realise though was we had walked from the ashes into the fire.
We found ourselves in one of the rich areas of san francisco, and there was rich people everywhere, we kept a low profile and used our extensive knowledge of the rich people's traditions and rituals, to avoid upsetting their territorial behaviour, at one point I found myself standing in the way of one of the elderly rich in a vehicle driven by the rich, she probably was a shaman or a storyteller, and upsetting her would truly make the situation a lot more dangerous, but disaster was averted by quickly moving on before she could get out of her primitive vessel.
Then we came to the alluring forests of the shopping streets, infamous for trapping even the bravest of adventurers in an endless trance, also known as the shopping spree. One or twice we were lured into a shop, and had it not been for the poor selection of men's apparel and bo's willpower of rocky iron diamond, we got through without any long term infections of the shopping spree.
Then we ate in one of the local villages, and being in a foreign and alien world we failed to realise that in this villages those seated together were to share the food, so we asked for a dish each, which was a bit weird to them, but we managed not to upset them by bringing them gift's of the civilized world in the form of currency.
We walked on and by now it was getting dark, we stopped by a wallgreen's and bought some stuff, and another shop and I got a towel, we soon arrived at well known shores and we ended the day by playing the guitar and singing songs of our previous adventures.
