9th of February
So this morning I got up and started writing my diary, because foolishly I had fallen asleep yesterday before doing so, around 8 AM I went down to the motel's office and extended my stay until friday, where I'll be heading downtown to live at a hostel and to find my good friend Bo who came to SF yesterday, maybe I can talk him in to join in on a pub crawl or something to do some dancing, and experience SF night life.
So I got my stay extended and I decided to eat breakfast at the motel for once, so I grabbed a bowl of frosted flakes and a cup of apple juice, the best I could say about that breakfast was that I'd already paid for it trough the rent.
I got of a little early, a little too early because half a minute after having left the room I realized my fleece blanket still was on the bed. Which of course is unacceptable. So I went back to my room and put the blanket in a drawer where it belongs during day time, I got to work only 15 minutes before time.
I met with the programmer John for lunch, he has a room in the new house he bought and he is willing to sublet it to me for $500 a month, which is a really good price, the only snags are that his in-laws will be living there through february, and it's nowhere near the downtown area. I also have another possibility which is close by all the TTG (telltale game) folk and the downtown area, it costs $150 a week, which by the way is what I am paying to stay two days extra at the motel. But I cannot check that out until monday.
But we went to the same place I got my shoes, the marin shopping center thingy, and we got mexican lunch, I got super-nachos for around $7, it was very good and very filling, so much that I'm not eating dinner tonight. But we got back to work, I got my stuff done around 7 PM an hour late, and Pete gave me a ride to the motel.
So far it seems like I am keeping up with expectations, each of the assignments I've done so far has been well received, and apparently I am doing well enough for them to be comfortable with handing me more of the same kinds of assignments. I am not sure if I can tell you when the game is shipping out, but when it does I'll tell you what game I've worked on and what to look for if you do play it.
When I got home, an hour late I remembered I needed to do laundry so I'd have clean underwear tomorrow morning, so I grabbed my laundry bags and headed in the direction the manager had told me yesterday, I went there and was completely confused, but luckily there was a nice latin american man who could tell me how stuff worked, While the laundry was being busy I went to a market next to the laundromat. I bought a 2 l. Soda for $1.4, cheap, the girl at the counter smiled shyly at me, and I smiled back at her with the most friendly charming smile I could muster, and felt good about myself for about 30 seconds until I got back and saw I had 18 minutes to go.
So I watched the latin americans and walked around a bit aimlessly, and one point some of te latin americans were laughing pretty lively at some contact notes hangning on the wall, but my spanish is very poor, so I could not read it my self, but it was something like this: “risa por lo que el hombre no entiende español se confunde”
after 18 excruciatingly boring minutes my clothes were all done and I decided not to spend more time at the laundromat, who knows what could happen after 8 PM at a laundromat in a neighbourhood where everyone, according to south park, is looking for jobs. So I put my laundry in bags and headed home, I hung it up to dry where ever I could, and it turned out it was less than a problem than I had first anticipated, so hurray for me making the right decision for once.
And now I am drinking my coffee and sitting in my bed enjoying the fact that I have not heard from the MoA today either, and with the new design I put up a couple of days ago my blog is just even more awesome, and the MoA still has no proof that suggest my blog's blogstream contains any awesome-enhancers, but they did tell me back when they took the first test, that the blogstream contained 50% as much awesomones as a regularly awesome blog, which is a lot compared to blogs who as many fans, like spoonyexperiment.com which on the last checkup the MoA did had only 60% higher than regular awesomones, and spoony has a giant fanbase, so the awesomeness of my blog clearly surpasses the spoony one, or it would if I had as many fans.
I will try to think of something that will make my blog more awesome, but for now I'm gonna sign of, good night!
