Day 2

3rd of February
Okay, my day started around 1 AM, when I woke up the first time, 1 AM corrosponds to 10 AM in denmark, which is when I usually automatically wake up.
I forced myself back to sleep, and awoke 2 hours later at 3 AM, this time widely awake, I tried to fall asleep again but didn't really until around 4 AM, then I awoke at 5 AM, and 6 AM and finally 7 AM I got out of bed and hit the showers, litterally POW! No not really, I just took a shower..

After spending 5 minutes figuring out how the shower worked, because it was in fact a specially tricky shower which would explain why my neighbour was so smelly, had I met him and were he smelly.. But I have not met him and I do not know how smelly he is.

But I took a shower, which reminds me I need to buy some shampoo tomorrow, and shaved, and then I looked for my deodorant and my facial moisturiser but to no awail, and also I need a deodorant, had they been confiscated in the airport? I do not now, because it would be like me to forget them at my parents' place after having taken a shower back there.

So I picked up a towel and dried myself and found some clean clothes, took tem on and turned on my laptop and went on facebook and messenger, within nanoseconds people started writing me, because everyone loves me, or maybe they are just envious, I would be!

I wrote a little with all my fans and I made some minor changes to this here blog, whilst packing my backpack with stuff I thought I might need in San Francisco, which was;
- a scarf
- my drawing utencils
- and nothing else.

Around 8.30 my contact Pete picked me up and we went to a place that served $5 breakfast and free coffee, it was good. After we had eaten, Pete drove me a bit around just so I could situate myself a bit, for which I am thankful (I will explain why later).

He dropped me off at the ferry, which had just sailed, so I took a walk in a nearby shopping area, there was a 24 hours fitness center, some different shops, something that seemed like a ballerina class for small girls, and a maritime framer, which is perhabs the most awesome idea ever! (Maybe except for Maritime manicures).
"So ye be wantin' a frame eh?! Don't ye be buyin' just any frame fer yer pictures mam, buy a MARITIME FRAME Yarr!"

After having seen all the shops, most of which were still closed, I walked back to the ferry dock, I waited around for quite some time, there came a punker on a longboard which was hilarious to me, he had yellow scotch checkered pants though, that I must admit I envied him for.

So then the ferry came and I sat down outside behind two girls who was taking pictures of eachother on the ferry, and I remembered I did not have a camera, then a couple sat next to me, they took pictues of the scenery, and I remembered I did not have a camera, there also was a guy with a face full of beard rayban sunglasses and headphones on his ears, after a while he began taking pictures, and I remembered I did not have a camera..

After the ferry ride, and me remembering that I did not have a camera, I got on dry land and went inside the ferry building as it is called, and I bought myself a map, that I did not use once that entire day, and went into the city.

For a long time I just walked around too scared to go into any shops, but then I saw a ARTS UTILITY SHOP or something, and I went in there to get myself a sketchbook, the store was situated right next to an art school, and the shop was full of students being artsy and talking about which verridian colour was best for their purpose, and whether B2 or HB was the better pencil, I grabbed myself… …a sketchbook, and got out of there before I began saying stuff like "oh Green is so last minute ago!" to complete strangers.

After that I found a mall! I went to every floor, and there was a lot of mens' clothing! A lot of boring clothes, but also a few nice things, for instance, a pair of coloured jeans $20, some REALLY nice shoes, that I really am considering buying despite the $100 pricetag, hopefully I will find something equally awesome and cheaper.
I walked past some kind of stands, where a guy immidiatly points me out and asks me where I bought my pants, I had to tell him I bought them in denmark, where I also origninated from.

Then he pulled me over to his stand and began telling me about his facial creams and stuff, and I tried them and they seemed really good, my hands are still very soft J
I tried to escape afterwards without buying anything, mostly because everything was REALLY expensive, but he really wanted to sell me his products, so he said I could buy one of the products at half the price, and then as a gift he would give me one of the other products for free which I could not refuse, since I had lost my facial moisturiser.

I went around for a bit more and then I got pulled to another stand by another guy, who also wanted to sell me beauty products, I let him let me test te products and when I declined he of course tried harder to sell me his stuff, he mentioned I was a very well dressed guy, but other men looked at the face first and foremost, I think I laughed a bit, because just after that he asked if I was into men or women, it was a pretty funny situation and he got a little embaressed.

I refused a couple of times more and then he again gave me an offer, to sell me one of the products to half the price, but I did not bite this time, I had beauty products enough in my backpack to turn me into a woman already!

I left the mall and began to feel slightly tired and bored so I went back towards the ferry building, and on the way I stopped by a Radioshack and bought myself a camera, YAY! They offered me an insurance on the camera for $12, so I must've sounded american enough for them not to notice, but I told him I was from denmark and so it wouldn't help me much to get it insured.

I got down to the ferry building around 1 PM, and I decided it was too early to go home, So I sat myself on a bench and I drew a little, I drew a statue that was standing there of ghandi, I might put it up later if I get access to a scanner over here.

Then I went for a walk down the coast, and came to some weird sculptures, I took some pictures and went on, when I didn't want to go any further I sat down and drew again, after that I just went back to the ferry, on the ferry I took some pictures again and then I went inside because it was way to windy for me to be outside, and I think I have a bit of a sore throat *COUGH*.

I got of the ferry and found my way to a path that would lead me through a tunnel and end near my motel, and when I got off the path, I got lost.
If you've ever been in a strange place with me and let me decide which way to go, you'd know that I always walk the wrong way, this was no exception. So I walked off the path and I could remember something with going underneath a bridge, and turning. So that was what I did, there was a bridge right ahead, and some time after that there was a turn, I walked for some time until I could see that I was approaching something that was not meant for pedestrians.

I turned around and though to myself "That was strange, I went under the bridge and I turned", But I know myself well enough to not be too surprised, and when I came back to the bridge I went under I realized my mistake, I went under the bridge and turned, when I should've turned and gone under the bridge, there were two different bridges, and I went under the wrong one, of course.

I got home relaxed my weary feet, and then I went to a mexican restaurant, which was good, real good actually, $15 for a meal so big I could not eat it all, and they gave me a container to take the remains back with me, I could not remember how much to tip, so I tipped 50%, also because it was such a good meal, and really nice staff.

I got back home checked my email and got a response to a mail I sendt a guy from tell tale about a spare room I could rent, awesome.

Good night, I am sleepy now, it's 9.30 and I guess I am still suffering from jetlag!
